Integrated Resource Plan 2010 Version 2 (IRP2) Electricity Plenary Session to be held at the CSIR, Pretoria

The Department of Energy will hold a two-day stakeholder consultation process on Integrated Resource Plan 2010 Version 2, commonly known as IRP2.

The plenary session will be a public forum involving energy stakeholders who are interested in the IRP2 process. The IRP2 will indicate the country’s energy mix in the next 20 years.

The plenary session which is part of the department’s public consultation will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to make a presentation on the inputs that they have submitted to the department.

It will also provide government with an opportunity to share with the public the manner in which it will draft the IRP.

Monday’s session will also include a press conference to be addressed by
Director-General, Ms Nelisiwe Magubane at 13h15 at the CSIR. Media is therefore invited to attend the press conference.
