THE staff of a
Richards Bay medical
centre arrived at
work on Friday to
discover intense
lightning damage.
A huge bolt of
lightning had struck
the Medicross Family
Medical Centre
building in the
early hours of the
morning damaging the
roof as well as
knocking out the
electricity supply.
The IT system as
well as many other
areas within the
centre were
disrupted but the
daily operations
continued.
The staff were
thanked ‘for all the
exceptional effort
and work they
performed through
this period’.
