In a recent post State Of The Nation Address, Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform Gugile Nkwinti, said in her media briefing the following “The year 2013 marks the 100 years of the notorious Natives’ Land Act of 1913, which turned Africans into exiles in their own land. This law was part of the brutal repertoire of instruments of oppression used by colonialists in the 19th Century to take land from indigenous populations.” Read More Here …
Since most of has no objection to this claim we still cannot understand how the current hate from some Facebook users, mostly black people, could be directed at the current generations white people. The Land reform problem is more than a hundred years old. We where in charge for 28 years. The ANC is currently in charge for 17 years. It took this generation 28 years which has had its origin way back in 1826 when the British passed its first segregation law. The law was passed to prevent rowdy drunk “coloured” people to pass through calm family owned neighbourhoods after a certain time of dark hours.
Why so very few struggle leaders refer to this fact is astonishing. Although South Africa was declared independent from Britain by the Statue of Westminster in 1931 we where still governed by the British Laws. Only after we become independent in 1966 we where making our own laws. Since then we commenced changes and by 1994 we where a full democracy.
As white South Africans we are not opposed to changes, but we oppose the criminal defrauding of poor people out of their long deserved heritage. The country had a working infra structure worth Billions when the ANC took power. They converted it into double story mansions and Huge Shiny Cars. The white people could not stop the infrastructure being abused like that. We just watched in awe.
Today this money could have transformed the poor into working class. We cannot all be rich and while the whites are becoming poorer only the ANC struggle elite is becoming richer. This is of grave concern since so many black people still turn to white people in need, in hate and for advice. We do not have the power any more to HELP YOU. We are loosing the wealth to feed you just as fast as we loosing our lives and our land to secure food for every body.
Also the mass media are targeting sales. Sales comes from tragedy. In Afrikaans news papers we only read of Afrikaans people being killed. We go out and find racist black people on Facebook and repost their wall postings. We can hardly confirm they are real black people making the postings but we claim we know how much racial black on white there is. In fact we all suffer from racial tension. Some whites are still more racial against blacks and this does not secure a future for our children. Neither Black Nor White are spared from crime.
Crime are mainly gang related whether it is regional based or race based. We all suffer from the same wrong doings.
This begs the question … why was all these laws passed since 1826 … ?? was it racial, cultural or criminal motivated.
